    On the 24 june 2016 in Brusells, the UECBV co-organized with CELCAA (EU Agri-Fodd Trade association) and EUROCOOP (EU Cooperatives for Consumers association) and the EU Commission services (DG SANTE) a workshop on the food authenticity.
    The objective was to give the floor to Food Business Operators (FBOs), the competent authorities and the law makers explaining how they are concretely and effectively tackling, within their respective chains, concerns related to the modern food supply chain.
    So, the real conditions of work were presented with ongoing initiatives not-necessarily well-known by consumers while they are concrete proofs of continuous improvement of responsible operators in their day-by-day undertaking towards the provision of safe and sustainable food to consumers.

    High level speaker included:

    - Director-General of Economic Affairs of the Dutch Presidency,
    - but also EU reference laboratories,
    - representatives of food operators and consumers,
    - as well as other EU Commission representatives.
